UPDATED: A 35-year-old Golden Grove man is being treated in hospital after apparently being shot multiple times this afternoon.
His condition is said to be stable.
Police are conducting investigations into the incident which occurred in Point.
They are appealing to anyone who may have information to call the Criminal Investigations Department on 462-3913.
EARLIER REPORT: Police are investigating a shooting incident in Point.
Reports reaching Antigua News Room are that O’Marie Christopher was shot in his groin, finger and abdomen.
He was taken to MSJMC in an ambulance.
Video circulating on social media suggests that Christopher, who owns a shop in the area, was trying to defend it from a group of robbers when he was shot.
The incident happened west of Bakers Bar.
